72nd Annual Meeting of the Western Section of The Wildlife Society

NETWORK with Western Wildlifers — LEARN from each other about emerging wildlife science — GROW your career with our workshops and advice channels — ENGAGE together in the most fun way ever!

We hope you’ll join us! The 2025 Annual Meeting will be held in Visalia, CA which lies in the heart of the Central Valley at the base of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.  With beautiful weather, friendly people, and hundreds of options to explore, this centrally-located city’s natural charm and gracious, vibrant community is not to be missed.

The conference will be held at the modern and extremely spacious Visalia Convention Center.  We’ll have plenty of space for everyone – including an extra-large great room (30,000 square feet!) to hold our vendors, scientific posters, networking, snacks, receptions, cornhole and more.  The conference venue sits in the middle of adorable, pedestrian-friendly downtown Visalia so you can easily walk to great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and more in between meetings.  Savor Visalia’s fresh from the farm cuisine at one of its many sidewalk cafes, take a stroll along Main Street, and tour the nation’s richest agricultural region. Take on hiking, biking, or snowshoeing adventures, and relax afterward with a glass of Visalia’s celebrated local brews.

Welcome to Visalia – An adorable, walkable downtown with an extra large convention center.  The perfect venue in the Central Valley’s friendliest town. We hope you’ll join us!
